How to see your microphotograph
The microphotograph cannot be seen from a distance: it is kept behind a small lens. The first time, it may look dark. That is normal.
- Turn the piece over. The photograph can only be seen through the rounded side of the lens. If you see darkness, try the other side.
- Bring the lens to your eye. Very close. If you wear glasses, take them off.
- Point it at a light. A window, a lamp or your phone’s flashlight. The light passes through the lens and shows the photograph.
To show it to other people: open your phone’s camera, hold it against the lens and focus on the screen. The photograph appears enlarged and you can save it or record a video.
If you still cannot see it, write to us with a photo or a video of the piece taken with your phone. We work out with you what is happening.
