Star map

A star map is the sky above a place, at one moment. It is not a random drawing: every star stays where it was.

How it is made

1. Tell us when and where. The date, the time if you know it, and the place. That is all we need.
2. We chart the sky of that night. We calculate where each star stood above that place, at that moment, and join the constellations.
3. We engrave it on the piece. By laser, in our atelier in Portugal. It ships in its box, with no price inside.

How to ask for your map

1. Tell us the place and night. In the “Personalize” step, write the place and pick it from the suggestions; a city is enough. Then enter the date of that night.
2. Add the time, if you know it. Without it, we draw the sky late in the evening; with it, the map is exact. Then tap “See the sky”.
3. See the sky of that night. The map appears drawn, just as it will be engraved. If you change the place, the date or the time, tap “See the sky” again.
4. Review before buying. At the end, “See” opens the map once more; “Edit” takes you back to change the place or the night.

Want to see the map on the piece before we engrave it? There is no automatic preview of the map on the piece. Add the Design Review from the extras (€3.90): we send you an image of the map, and nothing is engraved without your yes.
